We are currently accepting applications for a: Human Resources Assistant, Houlton Operations

Responsibilities include:

Assists with our compensation program; monitors the performance appraisal process as well as determining employee eligibility for participation in various employee benefit programs.
Assists with the preparation, processing, and distribution of payroll and filing of related information.
Conducts applicant pre-screens and schedules interviews with applicants. Assists with credit and criminal backgrounds checks as well as reference checks.
Prepares materials for and assists with new employee orientations.
Assists with benefits enrollments, changes, and deletions for employees, in-house and online.
Maintains employee records by processing payroll status changes in a timely fashion.

Qualifications include:

High school graduate or equivalent with some college or technical school coursework preferred
Minimum of three years of job-related experience in Human Resources field or similar combination of education and experience
Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources
Proficiency in or knowledge of a variety of computer software applications
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
